Mentoring

Career Mentoring

Residents are paired with primary care internal medicine faculty during their intern year. Residents are encouraged to meet with their mentors three times per year each year of residency to discuss the challenges that arise during residency and to assist with career-making decisions.

Peer to Peer Mentoring

Each intern is paired with a second year PCIM resident in the "Big Sib" mentoring program. Interns can call on their "Big Sib" mentors for specific questions that arise related to intern responsibilities and any challenges that may arise when transitioning between two hospital venues.
