We've redesigned our web site to make it easier for you to find the information you're looking for. With more content and easier navigation around the site, you'll find the new web site to be a great improvement. Here, we explain to you how to use the site and how to find your way around...
The Department of Medicine web site contains information on highly prevalent problems affecting the health of the vulnerable and diverse patient population of Cook County.

The left menu includes links to the Department Chair, Education (Residency Training, Fellowships, Medical Students, PER and Faculty Development), Research, Resources, Announcements, Our Patients, Virtual Tour, Work at DOM for employment opportunities, FAQs, About DOM and Directions and Maps.
The top menu includes links to the John Stroger Hospital mission statement, Cook County Hospital history, information about the new hospital, Cook County Bureau of Health Services/Health Network, and the Department of Medicine divisions: CRU, Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, GIM, Hematology/Oncology, Internal Medicine Residency Program, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, Neurology, Occupational and Environmental Medicine , Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine, and Rheumatology.
The scope of research activities is broad—clinical care, health services research, medical education, and community-based studies. For more information view our current and completed projects.
