Evaluation of the Housing First Initiative of the Chicago Housing for Health Partnership |

| Description: |
The aim of this study is to assess the effectiveness of a new model of housing and case management for the homeless who have chronic medical illnesses. Patients are enrolled in this effectiveness randomized controlled trial at three chicago hospitals (stroger, mount sinai and a VA hospital) and followed for 18 months. Outcomes include use of health services, maintenance of stable housing, health outcomes, quality of life and the use of alcohol and drugs.
Current Status: Secondary Analysis in progress.
