Chest pain is the most common presenting complaint among patients admitted to the hospital. Triage decisions affect patient health outcomes as well as the efficiency and costs of health care. This before–after trial assessed the change in physicians’ triage decisions and the health care consequences of adopting a clinical decision rule for triaging patients with suspected acute cardiac ischemia in the emergency department. |
