Project Title: A Community-Based Approach to Improve Medication Adherence in Urban Latino Children with Asthma
Project PI: L Sadowski, M Martin
Co-investigators: Giselle Mosnaim, MD
Description: This randomized community trial aims to assess the effectiveness of a Community Health Worker (CHWs) asthma intervention to improve asthma medication use in urban Latino children. The intervention is a series of home visits by CHWs for asthma education and skill transference. Proper technique or use and adherence to inhaled corticosteroid medications will be assessed four months at four months.
