Project Title: Effectiveness of Screening for Intimate Partner Violence using Audio Computer Assisted Structured Interview (aCASI) techniques
Project PI: L Sadowski
Co-investigators: R. Kee, W. Trick, F. Angulo
Description: A randomized clinical trial assessing the effectiveness of screening women using aCASI technology. 2700 English and Spanish speaking women patients were recruited from ambulatory clinical sites. Outcomes will be assessed at one year to include IPV experience, quality of life and disability.
The aCASI software was custom developed by the Department of Medicine’s IT group and locally hosted with the capacity for remote access.
