Biosketch: Bill went to medical school in Chicago and completed training in internal medicine in Minnesota. After four years of practicing internal medicine in Tucson, Arizona, he joined the Epidemic Intelligence Service in the Hospital Infections Program at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He remained with CDC as a medical epidemiologist for the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion. In 2003, he joined the Collaborative Research Unit at Stroger Hospital of Cook County.
